We are DML,

A research laboratory in development for innovative technological solutions based on Data Science. Created in September 2022, DML began as a technical department supporting the evaluation team of IES-Congo, a consulting firm specializing in project monitoring and evaluation (www.iescongo.com), before becoming a full-fledged company specializing in software development, data collection, data quality assessment, data analysis and visualization, and capacity building in the field of technology. We are a multi-disciplinary team made up of Statisticians and Data Analysts, Software Engineers, Network Engineers, Call center operators, and so on.

Our expertise

Data collection

We specialize in qualitative and quantitative data collection. Quantitative survey questionnaires are systematically set up in CommCare, ODK, Survey CTO, KoboToolbox, Survey Monkey and XLSForm platforms as required.

Data quality assessment

In order to check the effectiveness of surveys, the attitude of enumerators towards respondents and the consistency of data submitted by enumerators, we carry out quality control every day after collection through our call center and automatic outlier detection scripts.

Data analysis

Using specific statistical data analysis and machine learning tools, including Python, R, Stata, Excel and others, we produce analyses of the data after rigorous cleaning.

Data visualisation

We give insight and make data talk through dashboards including mapping, graphs and interactive charts produced using Power Bi, Apexcharts, Streamlit, ArcGIS and QGIS.

Software design

At the request of our customers, we design decision-support software in several sectors, mobile applications and websites.

Call center

We have a call center that we use for remote data collection, backchecking, end-user monitoring and accountability mechanism for our partners’ projects. Thanks to our call center operators who speak all the national languages.
